This family contacted Big Tooth Co. about turning their ~30 foot white oak log (taken down due to rot) into a custom dining table and island countertop. They love the idea of having a family heirloom, and using this tree that has grown next to their Fort Wayne home will make the custom woodworking that much more special.

They would like a 12’ dining table and a 10’ countertop for their kitchen island. Luckily there is plenty of wood in this big tree for both of those items! The lower 12’ section of the tree that contained 3 different nails was quarter sawn for their countertop. The middle 12’ section of the tree was sawn through and through for live edge slabs - these large slabs will be used in their dining table!

The process of taking any ole’ tree, cutting it down, milling it, drying it, and then turning the wood into furniture is Big Tooth Co.’s ultimate passion!

Thank you again, Beets Family!
